Symptom, slide bar and digital read out frequency doesn\'t match. Tunes past the upper end of the FM broadcast band but not to the bottom of the band. I have owned this MCS-3236 since 1982. It is a good receiver/ amp.
First I blew the dust out of the butterfly tuning capacitor and that helped the smoothness of the tuning. Peaked the 2 compression capacitors on the butterfly capacitor and that peaked the signal strength.

Still, Symptom, slide bar and digital read out frequency doesn\'t match. Tunes past the upper end of the FM broadcast band but not to the bottom of the band.

I know this is a phase locked loop local oscillator tuner and I just need to center its range but which adjustable coil or varible capacitor or variable resistor on the circuit board does that??

John Murphy
